Two paths off your bill. Follow either one down.

Every roof in Dubai has the same choice. Take solar for free and pay less per unit, or buy the system and stop paying for daytime power altogether.

Path one: Free Solar

Free solar on your roof. You just buy cheaper power.

AED 0 upfront, under a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA)

  • We install, own, insure and maintain the system, at our cost
  • You buy the power it produces at a rate below DEWA's
  • Bill drops from day one, for a fixed term of 10–25 years
  • Ownership options apply at the end of the term

Honest trade-off: you don't own the system during the term; we do.

Path two: Buy Your System

Own the asset. Make daytime power effectively free.

4–6 yrs typical payback in Dubai, then 25+ years of output

  • Biggest lifetime saving: every kWh after payback is yours
  • Typical payback of 4–6 years at Dubai sun and DEWA rates
  • Adds value to your property; 25-year panel warranties typical
  • Finance options if you'd rather spread the cost

Honest trade-off: capital outlay required on day one.

Both paths end here: your lower bill

A few questions, an instant estimate of both routes side by side. Your numbers, not ours.

Why your bill climbs

Watch your bill climb through DEWA's bands

DEWA charges homes in slabs. The more you use each month, the more every extra unit costs. Your last kWh in summer can cost 65% more than your first. Solar wipes out the most expensive units first.

Businesses face their own cliff: 23 fils/kWh up to 10,000 kWh a month, then 38 fils on everything above it, plus a fuel surcharge of about 6 fils on every unit for everyone. Verify current rates at dewa.gov.ae.

Who we work with

For homes

Villas & townhouses

Your AC is writing DEWA's invoice. A right-sized rooftop system offsets up to 100% of consumption under Shams Dubai net metering; summer surplus is credited against your nights.

Solar for my home

For business

Offices to warehouses

Cut operating costs without touching capital budgets: a PPA moves energy off your balance sheet. Warehouse roofs become revenue. ESG reporting gets a number worth publishing.

Solar for my business

Beyond panels

Batteries: keep your power when it matters

Net metering already banks your surplus, so why store it? Backup through outages, peak shaving that cuts commercial demand, and insurance against future tariff changes. Storage turns a good system into a resilient one.

Questions

Asked before every Dubai install

Is solar really free under a PPA?

Yes, free at the point of installation. Under a power purchase agreement (PPA) the provider pays for, installs, owns, insures and maintains the system on your roof. You pay AED 0 upfront and simply buy the electricity it produces at a rate below DEWA's, for a fixed term of typically 10 to 25 years. Your bill drops from day one.

The trade-off is that you do not own the system during the term; at the end of the term, ownership options apply. Full detail on the free solar (PPA) page.

What kind of roof do I need?

Most Dubai villa, townhouse, warehouse and commercial roofs work. Flat roofs take panels on tilted frames; pitched roofs take flush-mounted panels. What matters is unshaded area, structural condition and access, all confirmed by a free site survey before anything is signed.

How does the DEWA and Shams Dubai process work?

Rooftop solar in Dubai connects to the grid under DEWA's Shams Dubai initiative. An enrolled contractor prepares the design, submits it to DEWA for approval, installs the system, and DEWA inspects and fits a bi-directional meter. Surplus daytime generation is exported and credited against your consumption. That is net metering. We handle every step of the paperwork.

Who maintains the system?

Under a PPA, the provider maintains and insures the system for the whole term; it is included in the rate. If you buy your system, panels typically carry 25-year warranties and need little more than periodic cleaning to keep dust from reducing yield; maintenance packages are available.

I live in an apartment. Can I go solar?

The roof of an apartment building belongs to the building, not the unit, so individual apartment installations need building-owner approval. Most apartment enquiries convert into building-wide projects arranged with the owners association. Send us your details and we will advise the practical options for your building.

Is my business too small for solar?

If you have roof space and a meaningful DEWA bill, you are unlikely to be too small. Commercial systems scale from small offices and retail units to multi-megawatt warehouse roofs. Under a PPA there is no capital outlay at all, which makes solar viable even for smaller premises. The survey and estimate are free either way.
